Your breathtaking ice-caving excursion begins when you meet your certified glacier tour guide at the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. Then it's time to ride in a 4x4 truck until you're close enough to the glacier.
The first part of the drive takes you along the Ring Road, Iceland's main driving route. Keep your camera handy, as every part of the road's scenery is beautiful and photo-worthy.
Next, your driver will take you onto a rocky road only suitable for large trucks. Once you're close enough to the Vatnajokull glacier, you'll depart your modified Land Rover Defender truck and walk the remaining distance to the entrance of the ice cave.
The terrain is uneven, so wear a pair of sturdy hiking boots and warm, waterproof clothes for comfort and safety.

With its open space and light filtering in, there are countless opportunities to take phenomenal pictures for unbelievable memories of the ice cave.
Once you've captured plenty of captivating pictures of this glittering crystal-blue ice cave, you'll return to your vehicle. From here, your driver will take you back to the meetup point at Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon.
