Sandgerði Travel Guide
Sandgerdi is a village on the Reykjanes peninsula, covering the western shore of Midnes to the northernmost part of the peninsula, Gardskagi.

Sandgerdi is mainly a fishing community but also features industry, commerce and services on a small scale. There is also an important marine biology centre there, operating at an academic level.
