Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the landscapes below the Skagafjordur fjord with an exciting 8-hour combination tour. Thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts keen to go horseriding and white water rafting in a single day should book this unforgettable tour in North Iceland today.

Your journey starts in Varmahlid, a small village nestled amidst the vibrant green valleys of North Iceland. Its picturesque surroundings serve as the ideal gateway to this day of adventure.

Today's excursions are perfect for individuals, families, or groups. Children aged six or older can join in the fun, and previous horse riding or rafting experience isn't required.

First up is a 1.5-hour horseback ride introducing you to the iconic Icelandic horse. These sturdy, friendly creatures are gorgeous companions for exploring Varmahlid's breathtaking surroundings. Whether you're a novice rider or a seasoned equestrian, your experienced tour guide will pair you with the perfect travel companion.

Icelandic horses have two unique gaits: the "tolt" and the " flying pace." Even those unfamiliar with horseback riding will find the journey smooth and comfortable. As you traverse gentle trails, witness the stunning panorama of rolling meadows, distant mountains, and serene water bodies.

After a memorable horse riding excursion, you'll have time to relax and enjoy your packed lunch before moving on to your afternoon adventure.

It's now time to swap the saddle for a paddle. Dive into the adrenaline-packed world of white water rafting as you embark on a half-day journey through the West Glacier river's scenic gorges.

With its playful rapids and serene stretches, this river offers an unparalleled rafting experience. Its natural beauty, complemented by the sheer cliffs and lush greenery, creates a surreal backdrop as you navigate the rapids. And worry not! This river's challenges can be easily mastered by novices, making it an adventure that's both exhilarating and accessible.

While rafting, the landscape of the Skagafjordur fjord truly comes alive. This fjord, steeped in history and legends, offers a diverse landscape with roaring rivers, tranquil meadows, and imposing mountain ranges. Witnessing it from the river's vantage point, with water splashing around and the cool Icelandic air on your face, is an experience like no other.

By the day's end, as you return to Varmahlid, a sense of accomplishment and awe will envelop you. With memories of trotting through serene trails and conquering roaring rapids, this day promises tales that will be recounted for years.

Experience North Iceland in its full glory, from the back of an Icelandic horse to the heart of its roaring rivers, with this 8-hour horse riding and white water rafting tour. Check availability now by choosing a date.
