Description

Take sightseeing to a whole new level with this amazing paragliding tour. Soar through the air and get a bird's eye view of Reynisfjara black sand beach and the South Coast on this adventure tour, perfect for those with a sense of adventure who are traveling in southern Iceland.

At the village of Vík on the South Coast, you'll meet your paragliding instructor who will take you to the nearby take-off location for a safety instruction. Don't worry, there is no jumping off a cliff involved, and you will be flying with an experienced tandem pilot who will guide you through all the steps and ensure your absolute safety throughout. No prior knowledge is necessary, and children over the age of 12 are welcome.

Once the paraglider is inflated, and safety checks are done, you'll take a few steps down a slope until you step into the air. Your flying course will be charted according to the weather and the views available on the day, so each trip is different and special.

You'll swoop over Reynisfjara black sand beach near Vík and get a panoramic view of the Reynisdrangar basalt stacks standing tall as the ocean waves crash furiously all around. Up high, you'll also be able to see a great distance inland, where lava rocks stud a carpet of mossy green. At the height of summer, it is painted with purple lupine flowers, and puffins and gulls nesting on the cliffs will greet you as you glide by.

Your pilot will record all the excitement in HD video, and during the booking process, you can purchase an SD card package with a video of your journey as a keepsake.

Grab your chance to see the South Coast of Iceland in a whole new way! Check availability by choosing a date.
