Description

Experience an exciting one-hour buggy tour near Reykjavik from Hveradalir base camp, and drive through wild terrain as you explore the natural wilderness of Iceland. This exhilarating tour will keep you on your toes as you traverse incredible landscapes and discover hidden locations.

Your buggy adventure begins in Reykjavik. You’ll meet your experienced guide at the base in Kletthals 15, who’ll brief you on some safety procedures and how to handle your buggy.

For a more convenient start to your day, you can avail yourself of the pick-up service at an extra cost. Your starting point can be your accommodation or a nearby tour bus stop.

After your orientation, you’ll receive your riding gear, which includes an insulated coverall, a face mask, and a helmet. The safety equipment will keep you safe and more comfortable during your riding trip.

The weather in Iceland, plus the wind while riding the ATV, can be cold, so wear proper clothing, including layered clothes, gloves, socks, a scarf, and sturdy hiking shoes. Also, ensure none of the clothes is made of cotton, as cotton can quickly accumulate moisture.

To drive the buggy, you must have a legal international driver’s license and be at least 17 years old. If you don’t have one yet, you can opt for the shared ride option, where you don’t need to drive.

The buggies can accommodate up to two or four people, so couples, families, friends, and solo travelers can join the experience.

After making sure you’re ready, you’ll hop on the buggy and explore the nearby landscape of Hveradalir. Hveradalir is one of the 20 hottest places in the country, where you can even bake bread by boring a hole in its ground.

In this area near Reykjavik, you’ll traverse a scenic trail with gravel roads. Lava fields, mosses, lush valleys, mountain views, and hot springs await your group. There will be opportunities to stop, take photos, and admire these fascinating landscapes and backdrops to your adventure.

There may also be river crossings along the way that will make the drive extra thrilling. Don’t worry! The streams aren’t deep, but just enough to splash you with some fresh water.

If you need assistance or want to ask questions, don’t hesitate to approach your friendly guide.

After an hour of buggy driving or riding, you’ll return to the base camp, marking the end of this guided tour.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to explore one of the hottest places in Iceland through this exciting one-hour buggy tour. Check availability now by choosing a date.
