After check-in, the crew will welcome you to the dressing room, where you will be provided with overalls to keep you warm on the boat and life jackets for your safety.

Various whale species and aquatic mammals have been spotted in Skjalfandi Bay, the most commonly spotted being the humpback whale, minke whale, and white-beaked dolphins. 

These magnificent creatures come to Skjalfandi to feed, mostly on krill and plankton, and to prepare for the migration south to warmer water for their breeding season.

Other less commonly spotted species include orca whales, fin whales, pilot whales, and sperm whales. The blue whale, the largest animal that has ever lived, has also been seen in the bay, and you might be lucky enough to spot one of these gentle giants.
