Golden Circle Essentials Small Group Tour

Join us for the Golden Circle Essentials Small Group tour, a relaxing and stress-free way to experience the most popular destination in Iceland. 

The Golden Circle includes stops at three iconic landmarks: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Geothermal Area. These stops provide useful insights into Iceland's unique nature, geology and history. 

Thingvellir National Park is a historic site, the location of Iceland's first parliament, founded in 930. It's also the site where you can view the continental rift between the tectonic plates. 

At Geysir geothermal area you will witness the geothermal heat beneath Iceland bubbling up to the surface, with Strokkur geyser shooting hot water into the air every 5 minutes or so. Finally, at Gullfoss waterfall, you will get close to a glacier river falling down an impressive gorge, with a fall of a total 33 metres.

This express tour of the Golden Circle is shorter than our standard tour and starts 2 hours later, or at 11 am—perfect if you were out late the night before searching for northern lights, and want to get an extra couple of hours' rest. It's also ideal for those arriving in Iceland in the morning, who want to make the most of each day during the visit to Iceland.

The tour starts with a free pickup in the Reykjavik city area. Select your pickup location upon booking and you will be picked up by your guide for the day. The pickup is included and you will not have to switch vehicles. 

After pickup, the route chosen differs depending on your guide's preference, the weather and the season of the year, but the mission is always the same: to get the best out of each day and make the most of the stops themselves. 

We stop for at least 40 minutes per destination so you can enjoy each attraction to the fullest, and we naturally stop for lunch during the tour as well. If we have any extra time, we will add a stop to the tour. After the last stop, we'll take a relaxing drive back to the city, where you can choose your drop off location with the guide.
