You’ll start the tour at the base camp for ATVs, just on the outskirts of Iceland’s capital. You can go there on a self-drive or by riding a bus. You may also arrange a pick-up from a predetermined meeting point in Reykjavik. Once you arrive, your experienced guides will dress you in all the necessary gear, and you’ll set out on your adventure.

To drive an ATV, you will need to present a valid driver’s license. However, kids and non-drivers can still join the tour by riding the back of the ATV as passengers.

Once you’re all geared up, your two-hour journey over beautiful, rugged terrain begins. You’ll start by taking the bumpy route around Lake Hafravatn before riding up and down two mountains, Hafrafell and Ulfarsfell.

For this tour, the trails that take you to and from the summits are exhilarating to rush along, and the views from each peak are spectacular.
