Half an hour away is the village of Bildudalur, renowned for its gorgeous views. In 40 minutes, you’ll be able to drive to the breathtaking beach of Raudissandur, famous for its golden sand and spectacular panoramas. At both destinations, you may see seals.

You can also reach the longest bird-watching cliffs in Europe, Latrabjarg, in just over an hour. In summer, you’ll marvel over hundreds of thousands of seabirds, including puffins, nesting just meters from you. You can also learn about the history of a dramatic shipwreck and rescue that once occurred here.

In just over an hour and a half, you can get to Dynjandi waterfall, which looks like it comes from a fairytale due to its enormous scale and unusual formation.

There are plenty of hiking and cycling trails from Patreksfjordur. Furthermore, if you are lucky, you may even get to see great whales from the shoreline. There is also a golf course just ten minutes away by car.
