Highlights
At 110 metres squared, this cottage is impressively spacious and gives guests plenty of room to live in much the same way they would at their own homes. The three bedrooms sleep two people apiece for a total of six potential guests at one time. There are many options for recreation here both inside and outside of the house, including the large Jacuzzi-style hot tub located on the raised wooden outdoor deck.
Guests are just minutes away from a renowned local park and all the other amenities of Akureyri, and there are many other landmarks within a reasonable driving distance as well.
Staying at New Cosy Cottage with Hot Tub
You won’t be disappointed when you stay at this premium yet rustic Akureyri cottage. It includes three bedrooms with two single beds in each, allowing up to six people to stay the night. These beds are pushed together to imitate a double bed, but guests are welcome to push them apart again if they like. The kitchen contains a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, and many other useful appliances to help you prepare your food during your time away. In your downtime, you can watch TV, listen to music on the CD player, or surf the internet on the free WiFi connection.
A large outdoor deck that wraps around the building gives you a great place to spend time outdoors. A table and a set of chairs give you a great place to eat outside if you want to, and you can also cook on the gas BBQ. If you get chilly while you’re out there, you can always make use of one of this cabin’s best features: the hot tub. You can enjoy a great view of the flat land and faraway hills of northern Iceland while you relax under the pressure of the tub’s Jacuzzi jets.
Guests can park their car for free in front of the home.
Nearby
This cottage is located right on the edge of Kjarnaskógur park, where you’ll find picnic areas, hiking trails, a playground, and a volleyball court, as well as a breakfast buffet and a bar.
You can also easily head further into the city of Akureyri, which is home to both famous attractions like the Botanical Akureyri Garden and more niche attractions such as the Motorcycle Museum of Iceland.
When you’re interested in doing more in-depth exploration, there is also much more to see east of the city. About thirty minutes of driving will take you to the Goðafoss waterfalls, and an hour and fifteen minutes gets you to the Hverir geothermal pools or the Stóragjá underground caves.
This cottage is an all-around excellent option for accommodations in Iceland with very few weak points overall, but it is particularly well-suited for families or groups of friends who want to spend time both together and apart. Its extra space allows guests to have plenty of privacy when they need it, its many options for entertainment ensure that no one will ever get bored, and its stellar location makes it easy for you to plan an unforgettable vacation.
Place your reservation on this extremely desirable Akureyri cottage now and start thinking about who you might like to take along on your exciting upcoming trip!
